J-Pros is a hip hop group that consist of two MC’s (Mercury & R’Senull) and one DJ (Razs). All three Filipino Americans are from Seattle, Washington. They rhyme honest lyrics about life experiences, ethics, and thoughts over mid 90’s hip hop influenced beats with a twist of today’s rap sound.
The group first collaborated in 2004 and released their first album “Self-Titled” in 2005. After taking a break from the music scene to focus on college, careers, and family, they reunited and unleashed their second album “Pacific Central” in 2010. In 2011, they released their first EP titled “Level Up”.
Their last and final full length album “The Terminal” was made available on iTunes on June 2015. The album contains a variety of hip hop sounds with a mixture of thought out lyrics. The album covers numerous topics that many listeners can relate to. They encompass the ability to get personal, uplift, and tell stories with their rhymes over their head nodding beats.
J-Pros makes all their music available for free download on their website. Their music is also available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, and many other digital music stores.
